Family participation serves as a base for this coordinated program. The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) instills self-confidence, interpersonal competence, and caring toward others and does not view itself primarily as a sport developmental program. CYO offers the following sports programs:
Basketball: Boys’ and Girls’ basketball teams for 4th-8th grade students from the parish and/or school. Basketball begins in mid-November.
Volleyball: Boys’ and Girls’ volleyball teams for 5th-8th grade students. Volleyball begins in late February.
All CYO games are played at schools throughout the Archdiocese, although most games are played in the North Sound and North Seattle areas. Our parish/school has a CYO board that helps to construct the sports program.
