Dismissal for grades K-8

Dismissal will be at 1:30 on Wednesdays, for staff in-service time. (Early Birds at 1:20)

* "Early Birds" refers to students in grades 1 & 2 who go home in cars with students in classes no higher than the 2nd grade, and all kindergartners, thus allowing a significant number of cars to clear the playground before much larger groups are dismissed.
Half-day dismissal will be at 11:50/12:00 when designated on school calendars for grades K-8.

The student waiting area for before school is on the southwest side of the school for grades K-7 and by the main door, away from the flow of traffic, for grade 8.

All students attend Mass at 8:00 a.m. on Thursdays. Masses will begin the first week of school.

School Closures

School closures due to inclement weather or another emergency situation cannot be communicated ahead of time. If there is ANY chance of such a schedule change (either a delayed start or an actual school closure), please stay tuned to one of the following TV channels for reports: Channels 4, 5 and 7. Please do not call the school. We will always close when the Everett School District closes. However, since our students come from greater distances and do not have a bus service, we may have other closures or delays. On snowy/icy days, we may start two hours late. If this is the case, please continue to stay tuned, because a sudden worsening of weather conditions could cause us to close school.

An automatic phone call, placed through our School Reach system, will notify parents of delays or closures. We will also send an all-school email to parents and post information on our website, www.icolphschool.org. In this way, we can notify parents faster than through the media. If you do NOT want to be called early in the morning to be advised of a closure or delay, please let the school administrative assistant know.

The procedures for these closures and delays are the same in the event that the school needs to be closed after it has begun. Stay tuned to your television or check our website for updated information during the day.
