Mrs. Weatherbie considers 1st grade a pivotal time in a child’s educational and personal development. She believes that a core curriculum, based in strong fundamentals, prepares a child to transition into higher grades with the necessary skill sets to succeed. Her wealth of experience, drawing on 25 years of teaching, is apparent as she guides her pupils trough a year of enormous growth and change. “My goal is to provide a nurturing, positive, and challenging classroom, in which all students will find and feel success. Children are eager to learn. It’s my job to provide the best opportunity and environment for that to occur and yet allow them to be children. I am impressed by our community of students, teachers, and parents. The families are hard working and committed to their children. We, as a staff, are fortunate that we have a community here that believes in our school - they believe in their children!” Vicki Weatherbie |
