“The object of education is to prepare the young
to educate themselves throughout their lives.”
Robert Maynard Hutchins
1st Grade • 1B
Mrs. Gabriele White

Mrs. White earned her education and teaching credentials from the Sisters of Notre Dame in Berlin, Germany and the Holy Names Sisters in Spokane, Washington. She has taught at Immaculate Conception & Our Lady of Perpetual Help School for 17 years and has been involved in Catholic education for over 30 years.

Mrs. White is a veteran teacher with an enormous amount of creativity, enthusiasm, and energy to meet the challenges of engaging and ultimately delivering the necessary academic content and study skills to her students. Her success is also measured by the care and concern she tenders to all of her first grade pupils.

First grade with Mrs. White is an adventure filled with everything from international tasting parties to Christmas around the World, and giving each student a special VIP week, during which they are invited to introduce their family to the rest of the class.

"Over the years, I have seen many miracles. The shy little 1st grader becomes a champion, the timid quiet girl is elected to be an ASB officer, the student who struggles with math and reading becomes an honors student in high school. My goal in teaching is giving my students 'roots to grow and wings to fly,'  and to assist them to be responsible citizens, independent and creative thinkers, and wholesome members of our faith community.” Gabriele White
