Mrs. Kathleen Vigil

Mrs. Vigil has been an educator at Immaculate Conception & Our Lady of Perpetual Help since 1999. She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Western Washington University with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, a Master's in Education with a focus on Technology from Lesley University, and a Professional Teaching Certificate for the State of Washington.

Mrs. Vigil often quotes Robert Marzano, “The quality of teacher-student relationships is the keystone for all aspects of classroom management…” and, “Long before a student remembers what you taught them…they will remember how you made them feel.” Her students often speak about her individualized attention and how that makes a difference in their academic achievement.

“I enjoy teaching third grade because the students are willing workers, eager to learn, and eager to please. Third graders are enthusiastic, creative, and curious! As a teacher, I believe that it is my responsibility to give each student the best possible education in today’s society. It is up to me to provide them with a strong academic, social, and technological base from which to grow. My goal is to engage students so that they can construct their own knowledge and become life-long learners.” Kathleen Vigil
