“Everyone is very respectful to each other, and our school is special because we pray every day…”

Majoring in English, she earned her teaching credentials from Gonzaga University, with minors in Philosophy and Psychology. Mrs. Genest brings her passion for reading and writing to her fourth grade students. She reminds her students often that their brain is God’s gift and they must use it well. “The parental support in our school community is most helpful to me. I serve them first in educating the children, and I appreciate the parents partnering with me to reach our educational goals for their students. At the fourth grade level, students have an amazing - sometimes overwhelming - amount of energy to be tapped and channeled into becoming learners individually and in groups. I love how well they exhibit wonder, in every sense of the word, about the world in and around them. They simply love to learn, and I simply love to teach!” Karen Genest |
