Mrs. Egans class at the beachAfter 30 years of teaching and working as parent liaison for prospective students in the Bellevue School District, Mrs. Egan came to Immaculate Conception & Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. She has been a guiding light for kindergarten students for over 34 years.

Mrs. Egan earned her Bachelor's in Education from Seattle University and her Master's in Education from the University of Oregon.

She takes a hands-on approach to learning and carefully assesses each child’s needs, to ensure the best possible performance from each of her kindergarten students.

“Kindergarten is that special time that serves as a bridge between preschool and our formal learning experiences in grade school. It is a critical time when our children transition from being wholly dependant on their caregivers to becoming a student. It is with a deep sense of excitement and sadness that I welcome my new students and then say goodbye to them, after they have grown so much and we have grown so close - but it is always with the knowledge that they are ready to take on the responsibilities of a first grader.”    Mary Egan
