Physical Education plays a very important role at our campus. We are blessed to have a state-of-the-art gymnasium for our students, and Mrs. Vieth makes a point to teach her students that exercise must be a part of our everyday life. “Allan Russel said, 'Physical education is the only subject which by the very nature of its content has the potential to affect how a person will feel every moment of every day for the rest of his or her life...' In class, my focus is on developing healthy habits and general fitness. My hope is that children will adopt regular physical activity as a part of their lifestyle. There are five main goals of my physical education classes: to increase the physical fitness levels of each student; to instill positive attitudes toward physical activity; to teach students the skills they need to enjoy various physical activities; to help children understand the importance of regular exercise; and to develop an awareness of the connection between physical health and general well-being - and of course good sportsmanship."
